Coat Upcycled from a Quilted Bedspread, Large/XL

So much about this coat feels ultra serendipitous. The stumbling upon the raw material while looking for my mom's wedding dress in her closet, the unintentional drawstring that came about because of a design flaw and the number of times I almost decided to keep it for myself. The fact that it's here and that you're looking at it is, in fact, serendipitous itself.
 
And given that quilt coats can be a polarizing subject, I'm both delighted (and just a tad disheartened) that this bedspread originated from JC Penney, not some grandma's beloved craft room.

Shoulder to hem 25.25"
Sleeve 26.75"
 
Wash on delicate and lay flat to dry to help lengthen the life of this garment.
